Since its first flight in 1955, the Cessna 172 has become the most-produced aircraft in history, with more than 44,000 built. For generations of pilots it was the first aircraft they ever flew solo: a high wing, a tricycle undercarriage, a single engine up front and an easy, forgiving character. This blueprint shows the Skyhawk from several angles, with real dimensions marked in both feet and metres. Every strut, flap and wheel fairing is drawn in fine white ink on deep navy paper with a real pen on a pen plotter, one stroke at a time. Nothing is printed, so the lines have a texture and depth that a digital print can’t match.

  • Drawing materials — Pens and inks used may differ from piece to piece while meeting our quality standards.
  • Frames — Wood grain, color, and finish can vary naturally between frame materials and batches.
