Shipping Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

Thank you for choosing Plotora.

Every artwork sold through Plotora is individually produced after an order has been placed. Because our products are custom-made rather than mass-produced, production and shipping times differ from those of traditional retail products.

This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, and delivered.

Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

1. Order Processing

Every order is individually manufactured after payment has been successfully received.

Unlike mass-produced products, Plotora does not maintain large inventories of finished artwork.

Each order enters production only after it has been confirmed.

Typical production time is approximately 3–7 business days, although production may require additional time during periods of high demand.

Estimated production times are provided as a guide only and do not constitute a contractual guarantee.

2. Production Process

Each artwork is individually created using professional pen plotting equipment, physical pens, real ink, premium paper, and other production materials.

If your order includes additional items such as frames, acrylic glazing, glass, hanging hardware, packaging, or accessories, additional preparation time may be required.

Because each product is individually manufactured, no two products will be completely identical.

3. Shipping Methods

Orders may be shipped using one or more third-party shipping providers.

Depending on destination, Plotora may use carriers including, but not limited to:

  • NZ Post;
  • DHL;
  • UPS;
  • FedEx;
  • Australia Post;
  • USPS;
  • or other local and international logistics providers.

Plotora reserves the right to select the shipping provider most appropriate for each destination.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times shown on the Website are estimates only.

Actual delivery times vary depending on numerous factors beyond our control.

Delivery estimates should never be interpreted as guaranteed delivery dates.

Although we always aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, Plotora does not guarantee delivery by any particular date unless expressly agreed in writing.

5. Shipping Delays

Once an order has been collected by the shipping carrier, delivery is no longer under Plotora’s direct control.

Delivery times may be affected by circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • customs inspections;
  • international shipping congestion;
  • airline cargo capacity;
  • shipping carrier delays;
  • public holidays;
  • weekends;
  • severe weather;
  • natural disasters;
  • earthquakes;
  • floods;
  • fires;
  • pandemics;
  • epidemics;
  • strikes;
  • labour shortages;
  • political instability;
  • armed conflicts;
  • government regulations;
  • import restrictions;
  • export restrictions;
  • customs clearance procedures;
  • security inspections;
  • transportation disruptions;
  • fuel shortages;
  • internet outages affecting logistics providers;
  • power outages;
  • global supply chain disruptions;
  • delays caused by third-party suppliers;
  • delays caused by shipping companies;
  • delays caused by customs authorities;
  • delays caused by local postal services;
  • delays caused by local courier companies;
  • delays resulting from inaccurate customer information;
  • and any other circumstances beyond Plotora’s reasonable control.

Customers acknowledge that international shipping is influenced by many independent organisations and external events over which Plotora has no authority.

Accordingly, Plotora cannot guarantee delivery within any estimated timeframe and shall not be responsible for delays arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

6. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated during checkout unless otherwise stated.

Shipping charges may vary depending on:

  • destination;
  • package dimensions;
  • package weight;
  • shipping method;
  • insurance requirements;
  • carrier pricing.

Shipping prices may change without prior notice.

7. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

International orders may be subject to:

  • customs duties;
  • import taxes;
  • GST;
  • VAT;
  • customs brokerage fees;
  • inspection fees;
  • handling charges;
  • or other governmental charges.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Plotora has no control over customs authorities or governmental agencies and cannot estimate or guarantee the amount of such charges.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products ordered from Plotora may legally be imported into their country.

8. Tracking Information

Where tracking is available, customers will receive shipping confirmation together with tracking details after dispatch.

Tracking information is supplied by third-party shipping providers.

Plotora cannot guarantee the accuracy, frequency, or timing of tracking updates displayed by those providers.

Tracking events may occasionally be delayed or temporarily unavailable.

9. Incorrect Shipping Address

Customers are solely responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

If an incorrect address is supplied:

  • delivery delays may occur;
  • additional shipping charges may apply;
  • the shipment may be returned;
  • customs charges may still be payable;
  • replacement cannot be guaranteed.

If production has not yet begun, customers should contact Plotora immediately to request an address correction.

Once an order has been dispatched, Plotora cannot guarantee that shipping details can be changed.

10. Lost Packages

If a shipment appears to be lost during transit, customers should contact Plotora as soon as reasonably possible.

Plotora will cooperate with the shipping carrier to investigate the shipment.

Customers acknowledge that shipping investigations are conducted by the shipping carrier and may require additional time.

Where appropriate, Plotora may, at its sole discretion and subject to the outcome of the carrier’s investigation:

  • replace the product;
  • remake the product;
  • reship the order;
  • issue a partial refund;
  • issue a full refund.

If tracking confirms successful delivery to the shipping address or collection point provided by the customer, Plotora may consider the order fulfilled unless applicable law provides otherwise.

11. Damaged Deliveries

If a package arrives damaged, customers should notify Plotora within 14 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • your order number;
  • photographs of the damaged product;
  • photographs of the shipping packaging;
  • photographs showing the shipping label where possible.

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may affect our ability to investigate the claim.

Where appropriate, Plotora may replace, remake, repair, or refund the affected product.

12. Unclaimed Shipments

If a shipment is returned because:

  • it was not collected;
  • delivery attempts were unsuccessful;
  • the customer refused to cooperate with the shipping carrier;
  • import duties or taxes were not paid;
  • customs documentation requested from the customer was not provided;
  • the shipment was abandoned;

the customer may be responsible for:

  • return shipping costs;
  • storage fees;
  • customs charges;
  • reshipping costs;
  • additional shipping fees.

Any refund may be reduced by costs incurred by Plotora in connection with the returned shipment where permitted by applicable law.

13. Refused Deliveries

If a customer refuses delivery for reasons unrelated to shipping damage or an error made by Plotora, any refund may be reduced by:

  • outbound shipping costs;
  • return shipping costs;
  • customs charges;
  • carrier fees;
  • handling costs;
  • payment processing fees where permitted by applicable law.

14. Packaging

Plotora takes reasonable care to package every order using materials appropriate for domestic and international shipping.

Packaging may include protective materials such as cardboard, protective sleeves, corner protectors, cushioning materials, wrapping, protective films, or similar materials.

Despite reasonable packaging measures, Plotora cannot guarantee that products will never be damaged during transportation by third-party carriers.

15. Climate & Environmental Conditions

Paper, wood, inks, adhesives, acrylic, glass, and other materials may naturally respond to environmental conditions during transportation and after delivery.

Factors including, but not limited to:

  • humidity;
  • temperature;
  • sunlight;
  • altitude;
  • atmospheric pressure;
  • seasonal changes;
  • storage conditions;

may influence the physical characteristics of certain materials.

Customers acknowledge that slight changes including:

  • paper expansion or contraction;
  • minor waviness;
  • natural wood movement;
  • slight frame movement;
  • material ageing;
  • colour changes;
  • surface variations;

are natural characteristics of physical materials and do not constitute manufacturing defects.

16. Glass, Acrylic & Frames

Where framed products are supplied, Plotora may use glass, acrylic, wood, MDF, composite materials, metal hardware, or other framing components depending on the selected product or destination.

Minor variations in:

  • wood grain;
  • wood colour;
  • finish;
  • texture;
  • glazing;
  • manufacturing tolerances;
  • hardware;

are normal characteristics and shall not be regarded as defects.

For certain destinations, Plotora reserves the right to substitute acrylic glazing for glass where reasonably necessary to reduce the risk of breakage during international transport.

Where a substitution is made, the substitution will be of comparable quality and intended function.

17. Risk of Loss

Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, the risk of accidental loss or accidental damage to products passes to the customer upon delivery to the shipping address, collection point, or other delivery location specified in the order.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are safely stored after delivery.

Nothing in this section limits any non-excludable rights under applicable law.

18. Limitation of Shipping Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Plotora shall not be liable for delays, losses, costs, damages, or expenses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • actions of shipping carriers;
  • customs authorities;
  • government agencies;
  • transportation providers;
  • third-party logistics companies;
  • weather events;
  • natural disasters;
  • pandemics;
  • industrial action;
  • political events;
  • supply chain disruption;
  • global transportation delays;
  • postal interruptions;
  • incorrect customer information;
  • or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

19. Force Majeure

Plotora shall not be considered in breach of its obligations where performance is delayed or prevented by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These events include, but are not limited to:

  • earthquakes;
  • floods;
  • fires;
  • storms;
  • pandemics;
  • epidemics;
  • war;
  • terrorism;
  • civil unrest;
  • governmental restrictions;
  • import or export restrictions;
  • labour disputes;
  • supplier shortages;
  • machine failures;
  • transportation failures;
  • communication failures;
  • power outages;
  • internet outages;
  • or similar events.
